Blue synergies in Andalusia: BIC Euronova and CMMA prepare the RECONNECT Info Day

22/12/2025

BIC Euronova and the Andalusian Marine and Maritime Cluster (CMMA) recently held an in-person meeting in Málaga to advance the organisation and coordination of the upcoming RECONNECT Info Day, strengthening regional collaboration and aligning efforts to maximise the impact of the event.

On-site coordination to boost the RECONNECT Info Day

Last Friday, 12 December, representatives from BIC Euronova and the Andalusian Marine and Maritime Cluster (CMMA) met at CMMA’s offices, located in the Green Ray building (Málaga), with the aim of coordinating the organisation of the upcoming RECONNECT Info Day.

Representatives from both CMMA and BIC Euronova attended the meeting, addressing key aspects related to event planning, the identification of potential organisational synergies, and the coordination of efforts to ensure strong participation from relevant actors within the Andalusian blue economy ecosystem.

During the meeting, both teams shared the progress being made at regional level in Spain within the framework of the RECONNECT project, bringing together the work carried out with SMEs, sectoral organisations and other key stakeholders from the fishery and aquaculture sectors.

Additionally, potential synergies for the organisation of the Info Day were explored, with the aim of embedding the event within a broader strategy to activate the regional ecosystem and promote circular economy practices and industrial symbiosis within the blue economy.

Beyond technical and organisational aspects, the meeting also provided an opportunity for the teams from BIC Euronova and CMMA to strengthen their working relationship as project partners who, although collaborating on a regular basis, usually do so primarily through digital environments.

The Info Day will take place on Wednesday, 25 March, from 12:30 to 15:30, at La Térmica, Málaga and will be held within the framework of the WIN-BIG Atlantic Event.

The event will present the RECONNECT project, its objectives and the opportunities it offers to SMEs, organisations and stakeholders from the fishery, aquaculture and blue biotechnology sectors, encouraging active participation in the project’s upcoming pilot actions.
