BIC Euronova launches the RECONNECT Open Call for Spanish SMEs operating in, or planning to enter, the fisheries, aquaculture, and Crafts / Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI) sectors.
RECONNECT: Call for Expression of Interest for SMEs
The call is part of the RECONNECT project – Creative Crafts for Industrial Symbiosis in Blue Economy Sectors, which aims to promote circular economy solutions and industrial symbiosis in the Mediterranean. The project supports the recovery and reuse of waste, residues, and by-products from fisheries and aquaculture, transforming them into high-value bio-based materials for the craft sector.
Through the RECONNECT Open Call, selected SMEs will gain access to:
- AI-powered tools to identify circular opportunities
- Business and innovation support services
- Cross-sector and international matchmaking
- Transnational pitching opportunities
- Expert coaching for circular innovation
RECONNECT is a Thematic Project funded by the Interreg Euro-MED Programme, contributing to Mission 1: Strengthening an Innovative Sustainable Economy.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must:
- Be an SME operating in or planning to enter the fisheries, aquaculture, or Crafts / CCI sectors
- The applicant must be legally established in Spain and particularly in one of the Andalusia, Aragon, Balearic islands, Castilla-la-Mancha, Catalonia, Extremadura, Comunidad de Madrid, Murcia, Valencia, Ceuta and Melilla
Start-ups and individual legally established businesses are encouraged to apply.
Key Dates
- Call Launch: 13 March 2026
- Application Deadline: 30 June 2026
- Selected SMEs will be notified after the evaluation process.
