The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro invites small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs to apply for participation in the project Reconnect – Creative Crafts for Industrial Symbiosis in Blue Economy Sectors, implemented under the Interreg EURO-MED program.

About the RECONNECT Project
The aim of the project is to enhance the circular economy in the Mediterranean region, with a particular focus on the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. The project highlights the importance of the crafts sector as a key driver of industrial symbiosis.
Special emphasis is placed on the reuse of waste and its transformation into value-added products, contributing both to environmental protection and the creation of new business opportunities.
Approaches to circularity are currently fragmented—while medium and large enterprises apply structured models, smaller entities more often rely on informal and spontaneously developed practices.
Through the application of innovative technologies, the development of sustainable business models, and the inclusion of the crafts sector, the RECONNECT project encourages the connection of various economic actors—from large industries to SMEs. In this way, circularity is promoted not only in industry but also through broader social and economic processes.
