Towards a Smarter, Greener and Fairer Mediterranean – High-Level Forum on Cohesion and Resilience
t2i – Trasferimento Tecnologico e Innovazione, as Lead Partner of the RECONNECT project (Interreg Euro-MED), participated in this high-level forum on the future of EU cohesion policy and Mediterranean regional cooperation. Organised by Regione Emilia-Romagna and the CPMR under the Interreg Euro-MED Innovative Sustainable Economy Mission, the event brought together regional presidents, European Commission officials and Interreg project partners to discuss cohesion priorities for the 2028–2034 Multiannual Financial Framework. Morning plenary sessions addressed territorial cohesion, climate resilience and the data-driven economy; the afternoon featured a world café co-creation workshop on four thematic tables: cohesion priorities, multi-level governance, transformative innovation, and the added value of territorial cooperation. RECONNECT’s circular blue economy model – connecting aquaculture and fishing SMEs with craft enterprises through AI-powered matchmaking – was presented as a concrete example of Interreg Euro-MED impact.
Location: DAMA Tecnopolo, Via Stalingrado 84/3 – Botte B4, Bologna (IT).
Held in conjunction with the General Assembly of the Intermediterranean Commission.
