RECONNECT: Circular solutions for more competitive Montenegrin businesses

17/09/2026

The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro has selected 15 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs from Montenegro to participate in the RECONNECT project – Creative Crafts for Industrial Symbiosis in Blue Economy Sectors, implemented with the financial support of the European Union through the Interreg Euro-MED programme.

Turning Waste into Resources, Ideas into Opportunities

In the fisheries sector, 12 companies and entrepreneurs were selected: Aleksandar Milosavljević, Aurora Trade, Branko Vujičić, Ćale i more d.o.o., Deep Blue PG, Miloš Jovanović, Montefish d.o.o., Plivarica Sveti Marko, Entrepreneur Raso Zora, Savo Ćetković, Stefan Radunović and Vuksanović d.o.o. In the aquaculture sector, the participants are Boško Šupica and Maestralfish d.o.o., while the creative industries sector is represented by JOAN d.o.o.

The companies and entrepreneurs participating in the RECONNECT project will have the opportunity, through free training sessions, workshops and expert support, to enhance their knowledge of the circular economy, circular business models, industrial symbiosis and open innovation. Particular emphasis will be placed on identifying opportunities for the reuse and valorization of waste and by-products, as well as on transforming them into resources for new products and business activities.

In the next stages of the project, participants will take part in an individual assessment of their circular business models, the identification of opportunities for by-product valorisation, and the development of innovative ideas. Support will also include the use of an artificial intelligence-based tool developed within the RECONNECT project, as well as opportunities to connect with potential partners from Montenegro and abroad.

In this way, RECONNECT supports businesses in taking the step from acquiring new knowledge to developing concrete circular solutions, innovations and business partnerships.

The lead partner of the project is t2i – Technology and Innovation Transfer Agency from Italy. In addition to the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, the project partners are organisations from Italy, Spain, Croatia, Greece and Albania:
