Our story

RECONNECT is a Thematic Test Project funded by the Interreg Euro-MED programme under the priority “Smarter Mediterranean” and the specific objective RSO1.1: Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies. The project started in 2024 and will run for 33 months.

The project is coordinated by t2i – technology transfer and innovation (Italy), a research and innovation hub with more than 30 years of experience. It brings together 9 partners from across the Mediterranean, including public institutions, research centres, innovation intermediaries and business support organisations from Italy, Spain, Greece, Albania, Montenegro and Croatia.

RECONNECT is supported by key actors such as the Chamber of Commerce of Venice-Rovigo, BIC Euronova, the Andalusian Marine and Maritime Cluster, KiNNO Innovation Intermediaries, AULEDA – Local Economic Development Agency, the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, the University of Rijeka, and CERTH – Centre for Research and Technology Hellas.

Meet our team!

t2i – Technology Transfer and Innovation is a consortium of the Chambers of Commerce of Treviso-Belluno, Venice-Rovigo and Verona. It offers innovative services for the development of applied research and innovation projects, the launch and acceleration of innovative start-ups, product certifications and testing through Accredia-accredited laboratories, the protection and valorization of intellectual property and the development of innovative skills in companies.

The Chamber of Commerce Industry Craft and Agriculture of Venice and Rovigo (CCIAA VE RO) is a public institution focused on the needs of  local businesses. It maintains and updates the Italian Business Register and supports the development of businesses in all sectors, promoting the activities of business, professional, trade union and consumer associations and other social institutions.

BIC Euronova, the European Business and Innovation Centre (EBIC) of Málaga, is a company formed by both public and private capital. It was founded in 1991 at the initiative of the European Commission to support the creation of innovative SMEs, promote the launch of new innovative activities within existing SMEs, and assist public administrations.

The Andalusian Maritime-Marine Cluster (CMMA) is an association of sustainable, innovative and technological companies specialized in the Blue Economy, based in all the blue subsectors. We are located in Andalusia.

KiNNO is an innovation intermediary, connecting key players of the innovation ecosystem, with experience in methodologies, strategies, innovation ecosystems & innovation support services, and over 15 years in EU projects. KiNNO aims at enhancing technology integration & innovation capacity, technology transfer & market uptake of research results in sectors such as the maritime, circular economy, tourism, energy, cleantech, agrifood, & ICT.

Local Economic Development Agency located in Vlore Albania, supports sustainable development by fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and social cohesion. Its mission is to boost economic growth, enhance regional competitiveness, and promote environmental sustainability. AULEDA works with businesses, institutions, and communities to implement projects in tourism, agriculture, digitalization, and circular economy, empowering local stakeholders and driving inclusive development.

The Chamber of Economy of Montenegro (CEM), established in 1928, promotes economic growth, supports businesses and drives global integration. It shapes policy, manages EU-funded projects and fosters international cooperation to boost exports, attract investment and advance sectors like: green economy, ICT, agriculture and tourism. CEM also provides training, project support and dispute resolution services.

The Faculty of Biotechnology and Drug Development (UNIRI FABRI), part of the University of Rijeka, was founded in 2009. It offers interdisciplinary undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs and is recognized nationally and internationally. The faculty actively engages in international cooperation and EU-funded research, contributing to various European R&D initiatives and fostering academic excellence.

CERTH is one of the leading research centers in Greece and is listed among the TOP-20 EU  institutions with the highest participation in competitive research grants. CERTH has important scientific and technological achievements in  Environment, Industry, Information & Communication, Agro biotechnology, Smart farming, etc. as crossdisciplinary scientific areas.
