BIC EURONOVA, in close collaboration with the Maritime-Marine Cluster of Andalusia (CMMA), successfully hosted the RECONNECT Local Info-Day at La Térmica. This event marks a milestone in BIC EURONOVA’s commitment to driving sustainable innovation across the Mediterranean blue sector.
Local Info-Day in Málaga: Strengthening the Blue Ecosystem
On March 25th, BIC EURONOVA organized a dynamic Info-Day to showcase the latest advancements of the RECONNECT project. The event, co-led by the CMMA, focused on the panel “Synergies for a Competitive Blue Economy”, where BIC EURONOVA highlighted the importance of cross-sectoral alliances for regional growth.
During this panel, experts discussed the importance of creating cross-sectoral alliances to boost regional competitiveness. The conversation focused on how SMEs and artisanal sectors can integrate innovative technologies to transform waste into high-value resources, ensuring that the blue economy remains both profitable and sustainable.

Tech-Driven Sustainability
Through the use of AI and innovative sorting methods, RECONNECT is proving that “waste” is just a resource in the wrong place. Our goal is to convert aquaculture by-products into new materials, closing the loop and cleaning our waters.
A Lasting Legacy for the Coast
This project isn’t just a one-off event; it’s about creating a permanent ecosystem. By launching pilot tests and building joint networks, we are making sure that the circular blue economy becomes the new standard for SMEs across the Mediterranean
Driving Business Resilience through Circularity
We are focused on providing small and medium enterprises with the necessary tools to adopt circular business models. By integrating sustainable practices into their daily operations, these companies can reduce costs and increase their market value, proving that environmental responsibility is a key driver for economic growth in coastal areas.
“The energy at La Térmica was incredible. Working alongside the CMMA allows us to prove that when industry expertise meets tech, the blue economy doesn’t just grow—it evolves to be fairer and more efficient for everyone”
